Curious George and The Initial Teaching Alphabet

I haven't blogged in quite some time.  Busy with life and various project.  I received my first official comment on a blog post the other day, and it inspired to write this blog entry.

I recently acquired an Initial Teaching Alphabet copy of Curious George [circa 1965] and wanted to share with the world.

Disclaimer:  Scholastic - I am not trying to violate any copyright laws.  I am displaying these book pages because I feel it has some actual historical significance on how NOT to teach reading and writing.  If we don't learn from history, we are bound to repeat it !

One humorous note:  I obtained this book off ebay.  The seller listed this as a foreign language book, possibly in French.  I do agree, it WAS written in a foreign language, LOL.

  1. This is great! I have created a facebook page to celebrate this quirky and hopefully not too damaging educational experiment. I've added a link to this page if that's OK and if you're interested I have posted some stories in full and hope to add more later. Thanks for the read. Find my page here:
